Statewide Affordable Housing Aid Program - Carver County Health and Human Services

Eligibility

Individuals and households who are residents of Carver County, and are experiencing:- Income less than 80% of area median gross income- A lack of fixed, regular, and adequate nighttime residence and requires assistance to obtain new permanent housing- Living in overcrowded conditions in their current housing and require assistance to move into new housing that is not overcrowded- Needing assistance to secure more affordable housing- Possible eviction at current rental due to back owed rent

Required documents

Application/registration form bank account balance within the last 30 days contact information for property manager documentation for net income from the last 30 days, billing statement of rent/mortgage, homeowner's association dues, or utilities owed

NOTE: Currently out of funding until funding resumes again January 1, 2026. Do not refer.An emergency housing assistance program for households who are experiencing the following:- Lacking a fixed, regular, and adequate nighttime residence and requires assistance to obtain new permanent housing- Living in overcrowded conditions in their current housing and require assistance to move into new housing that is not overcrowded- Possible eviction at current rental due to back owed rent- Requires assistance to secure more affordable housing?The program provides financial assistance for rent, mortgage, homeowner's association dues, or utilities when available to keep individuals from losing housing and help those experiencing homelessness find housing.
