Eligibility

- Women ages 18 years and older who are experiencing homelessness - Accepts single women, pregnant women, and women with one child ages birth to one - Focus is on Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott, and Washington counties - Because family participants are placed through Coordinated Access to Housing and Shelter, access to the program is for Ramsey County residents

Application process

- Single women without children and pregnant women in 1st or 2nd trimester should contact Ramsey County-Coordinated Entry Youth and Singles (CEYS) - All family intakes for TLC-Residential program should call United Way 211 for a pre-screen to access the Ramsey County Coordinated Access to Housing and Shelter (CAHS). The pre-screen is provided by United Way 211 and is available 24 hours/7 days a week by dialing 211 or (651)291-0211.

Description

Provides affordable transitional housing for up to two years for single women, pregnant women, and women with children under one year old. Residents have private rooms and access to shared living, recreational, kitchen, and laundry facilities. Services include: - Advocacy - Education on landlord/tenant rights - Individual guidance on personal life goals - Transportation and/or bus cards for clients in search of affordable housing, work, or school NOTE: This is a transitional housing program, not a shelter.
