Professional Association - Minnesota Medical Association

The Minnesota Medical Association is a professional organization for licensed physicians, affiliated with the American Medical Association (AMA). Services for members include:- Active role in the AMA- Advocate for physicians on a wide range of advocacy topics, including scope of practice, contracting, medical malpractice, and public health and safety issues- Clearinghouse for physician referral sources and accreditation information- Group insurance programs - members only- Making sure all Minnesotans have access to high quality health care- Medical student loans- Program for disabled physicians - deals with chemical dependency and other problems experienced by physicians - Provides continuing education, seminars, and reports for member physicians- Public health education and materials?- Represents physicians before regulatory agencies and works with third party payers to reduce administrative hassles and solve problems- Works with government agencies in an advisory capacity
