Description

Provides services for single adults and families who are in need: Emergency Shelter: ? ?- There is a waiting list. Limited funds for a hotel stay only during an extreme heat or cold weather-related condition for Carver and Scott County. Housing Hub: - Connects single adults ages 18 and over and families experiencing homelessness or at risk of being homeless in Carver and Scott County with a Housing Specialist to provide housing problem solving. Housing Specialists can assist households with practical solutions, identify sources, alternatives, and mediate conflict resolution between landlords, friends, or family. - The initial access point to be connected with a Housing Specialist is short-term with a 30-day timeframe. After 30 days initial contact, households with no other pathways identified will be connected to a Housing Assessor and placed on the Housing Registry. NOTE: Single adults and families in need of shelter and housing hub services in Dakota County should call Dakota County's Housing Resource Line.
