  • Encourage and support research efforts in identifying the causes and mechanisms of Ataxia, improving diagnosis, and developing treatment models- Locating families affected by ataxia or at risk for Ataxia to offer information and education- Identifying needs and services for purposes of referral, including referral to Ataxia clinics and neurologists- Creating and making available educational programs for ataxia families, health care professionals, and the general public- Increasing public awareness of Ataxia- Chapters, support groups, and informational meetings- Brochures and fact sheets available on many of the ataxias; videos on Ataxia
