Helps moderate to low income people attain home ownership. People who make 50 - 80% of the median income can purchase homes through the land trust. The land trust owns the land on which the home sits and the home owners lease the land through a 99 - year ground lease. When home owners wish to sell, they agree to sell their home to another income qualified buyer at a price determined by a resale formula. This keeps the home affordable for future homeowners.
