Eligibility
Families with children who are residents of Wadena County, with at least one child age 10 and younger, pregnant women, and are exposed to two or more child maltreatment risk factors such as:- Poverty- Domestic Violence- Alcohol and drug problems- Mental health concerns- History of child protection involvement- Homelessness- Must not be involved with child protective services

Voluntary early intervention program that provides a comprehensive assessment of families' needs and strengths to assist with making decisions about what services or community resources are accessible. Short-term help may be available to families with concerns regarding:- Basic needs (food, clothing, and housing)- Child care- Financial needs (budgeting and financial assistance)- Family health (medical care, mental, and chemical health services)- Parenting- TransportationReferrals are often made to community support services such as child development screening services, food shelves, free or low-cost clothing programs, free health clinics, mental health services, and parenting support classes.
