Day Treatment Program - Fergus Falls Area Special Education Cooperative

Eligibility

Children and youth who are living with an emotional behavioral disturbance or other health-related disability and meet all the following criteria:- A resident or open-enrolled as a student at Ashby, Battle Lake, Breckenridge, Campbell-Tintah, Pelican Rapids, Rothsay, or Underwood School Districts of 935- Consultation from District 935 administrators to refer to the Day Treatment Program- Must have completed a Diagnostic Assessment (DA) by a mental health professional or clinical trainee within one year of the initial start date of the program- The DA must document the need for the Day Treatment Program as medically necessary

Provides a therapeutic educational environment for children with behavioral and mental health needs. Services include:- Educational support for each child- Intensity level of day treatment based on the student's Diagnostic Assessment (DA)- Learning and implementing skills necessary to become successful in school, home, and community settings- Psychotherapy and skill activities
