Eligibility

- Each participant meets the criteria outlined by the State of Minnesota to be eligible for Housing Support (formerly GRH) - The State of Minnesota requires that an individual is experiencing long term homelessness, as well as has a diagnosis of a mental health or chemical dependency disorder. As long as an individual maintains an income below $2117.00 and has a mental health/chemical dependency diagnosis, they will remain eligible for the program

Call United Way 211 for information on accessing the Ramsey County Coordinated Access to Housing and Shelter (CAHS). The service is available 24 hours/7 days a week by dialing 211 or (651)291-0211

Description

The Scattered-Site Housing Program works directly with Coordinated Entry to provide permanent supportive housing within Ramsey County to women with a history of mental illness and/or chemical dependency, assisting with their goal towards recovery. Housing Navigators work to identify and remove barriers to housing, and work with landlords in the community to secure housing of the participant's choice. Upon moving in, wrap-around support services are provided by Case Managers and Peer Support Specialists to provide tenancy sustaining services as well as work on person-centered, long-term goals towards stability, self-acceptance, and empowerment.
