Primarily serves Beltrami County, but also youth from Cass, Hubbard, Mahnomen, and more. Call us if you have questions.

Required documents

Varies by the funding source that helps with your housing costs. Please bring in whatever documents you have...we can help you apply for other forms of ID (birth certificate, social security card, driver's license, state or tribal ID). We can also help you gather other documents you may need.

9 AM - 5 PM Monday 9 AM - 5 PM Tuesday 12 noon - 5 PM Wednesday 9 AM - 5 PM Thursday 9 AM - 5 PM Friday Or by appointment. Once you're housed, it's your home and you have access to it 24/7.

Interpretation services

English. Some translation services available through the local university or law enforcement. Call and ask us.

Description

Independent living in apartments for 16 - 21 year olds - Housing and independent living support services for homeless youth, ages 16 - 21. Please note that 16- and 17-year-olds need parent or guardian permission. We can help you negotiate with your parent or guardian if we think independent housing is the best option for you. - Housing and independent living support services for teen parents, ages 16 - 21, who are homeless or living in inadequate housing. We can help you find an apartment, complete the application, pay security deposit, and help with monthly rent. - Case management services to help you with education, employment, parenting, child care, and more. We can also help you with obtaining medical insurance and accessing medical, dental, or mental health services. - All youth participating in transitional housing have access to: Individual, and/or family counseling appropriate to the individual needs of single teens and teen parents. - Skill building workshops for single teens and teen parents to increase self-sufficiency and independence.

Evergreen Youth & Family Services

A multi-program youth and family service agency. Provides emergency shelter, subsidized housing, independent living skills, youth and family mental health counseling, youth sober support and activities, drop-in cneter and outreach for homeless and runaway youth, social support for youth on sexual orientation issues and other support services for adolescents and families. Evergreen runs an annual conference focused on youth and families in the Spring of each year.
