Financial counselors can help individuals understand patients' responsibilities and may offer no-interest payment plans. Other options may include: - AblePay: Program allows patients to save up to 13% on deductibles, coinsurance, and copays at no cost to the patient - Extended Payment Plan through ClearBalance: Provides an affordable patient financing program with flexible repayment terms to help consumers pay out-of-pocket hospital expenses, including deductibles and insurance co-payments - Financial Assistance Program: Provides financial assistance (charity care) to low-income, uninsured, or underinsured individuals who need help paying for all or part of their medical care. Patients are eligible when their family income is at or below 300% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL) income guidelines.
