- Conducts surveillance, investigates, monitors, and puts prevention interventions in place for communicable diseases - Educates the public, individuals, families, day care providers, schools, businesses, and other groups about preventing the spread of communicable diseases such as Influenza, Tuberculosis, HIV, and others
