Eligibility

- Families experiencing multiple stressors such as poverty, chemical dependency, mental health challenges, or domestic violence that place them at higher risk for neglect or abuse - Families must have children ages birth to five years and live within the following boundaries: west - Lyndale Avenue; east - Hiawatha Avenue; north - I-94; south - 38th Street

Hours

- Office: 8 am - 4 pm Monday - Friday - Family Events: 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm one Thursday each month 11 am - 1:30 pm two Fridays each month

Interpreters available; Somali; Spanish

Description

Provides home-based family support services using a strengths-based, culturally responsive approach. Services include: - Advocacy - Client-directed goal planning - Crisis intervention - Home visits: Addresses the needs of parents and children (including older siblings) - Parent support and education - Parent-child interaction activities Families are also offered regular events and activities that promote parent-child attachment and overall family well-being.
