Eligibility
An eligible recipient is an individual who:- Is age 18 or older- Is diagnosed with a medical condition, such as mental illness or traumatic brain injury, for which adult rehabilitative mental health services are needed. - Has substantial disability and functional impairment in three or more areas so that self-sufficiency is markedly reduced.- Has had a recent diagnostic assessment or an update by a qualified professional that documents ARMHS services are medically necessary to address identified disability and functional impairments and individual recipient goals.

The purpose of ARMHS is to provide mental health rehabilitative services to people with serious mental illness using evidence-based and best practices to foster recovery and self-sufficiency by helping recipients reduce symptoms of mental illness and functional limitations and barriers related to mental illness and learn illness management and recovery skills. The focus of this service is in regaining or restoring lost capabilities as a result of the onset of a mental disorder.
