  • Advises the governor and legislature on behalf of Chicano-Latino persons in the state- Recommends legislation designed to improve the economic, social, and educational status of Chicano-Latino people- Serves as a conduit for the Chicano-Latino community to the state- Implements programs designed to solve problems of Chicano-Latino people- Performs studies designed to suggest solutions to problems in areas of education, employment, etc.
