Older adults who do not qualify for the Elderly Waiver; volunteers are adults ages 18 years or older; serves Dodge, Fillmore, Freeborn, Goodhue, Houston, Mower, Olmsted, Rice, Steele, Wabasha, Waseca, and Winona Counties

Description

Neighbor to Neighbor Companions offer assistance with daily activities and appointments, a link to the community, and an opportunity for friendship. Services include: - Transportation to medical appointments, grocery shopping, errands, and social activities - Assistance with correspondence, such as paying bills - Help with simple household tasks - Friendly visiting and advocacy to assist the client in staying independent and healthy Lutheran Social Services is actively seeking volunteers for this program. Volunteers receive a monthly stipend and mileage reimbursement.
