The foundation was established in 1982 to financially assist the Samaritan Bethany Corporation in providing ministry to the elderly. A Special Gift fund helps with education and research, recreational activities, transportation needs, special adaptive equipment, building needs and chaplaincy program A Sponsorship fund offers financial assistance to residents and staff with limited financial resources The foundation is governed by a board of directors whose members are appointed Meetings are held quarterly and fund requests are reviewed at that time
