Eligibility

Open to all women age 40 and older (exceptions can be made for women age 21 - 39 who have symptoms or a family history of breast cancer) who are uninsured or underinsured. Clients must also meet household income limits found on the MDH website.

Description

Sage: Provides breast and cervical cancer screening to low-income women, age 40 and over, without health insurance who do not receive Medical assistance or whose insurance does not cover the total cost of these services. If one of the screening tests shows a problem, Sage covers many diagnostic services and can often connect to treatment coverage. Sage Scopes: Free colorectal cancer screening including kit, colonoscopy and follow up for patients with abnormal screening results. Available to men and women, ages 50 - 64, or as young as 40 for groups at increased risk, who have no insurance or are under-insured, and meet income guidelines.
