Description

The Community Action Center operates the only homeless shelter in northern Rice County. - Places one individual or family at a time in an apartment where they may stay for up to 90 days - Provides food, support with housing search, and coordinating community resources - Because of increasing demand, priority is given to the most vulnerable clients The shelter is an access point for Coordinated Entry housing programs; after regular business hours, the CAC cooperates with local police and area churches in serving people in the Northfield area who need temporary shelter at a local motel.
