Program Fees
Provides free assistive phone devices to Minnesotans who qualify. Designed to make telephone communication more accessible for individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing, deafblind, or have a speech or physical disability. Equipment provided includes, but is not limited to: - Hands-free speaker phones - Light-flashing ringers - Loud ringers - Phones for individuals with speech impairments - Phones that display the caller's words on a screen and allow the user to respond verbally - Special equipment for people who are deafblind - Phones with amplified or enhanced sound for clearer hearing - TTYs Repairs or replaces equipment that is not working properly or no longer meets the client's needs. If a person is not eligible based on income, the TED Program can provide information on where to purchase devices.
