Refugee Medical Assistance - RMA - Hennepin County Human Services - Economic Supports

Eligibility

Refugees must meet ALL the following conditions: - Refugee Medical Assistance (RMA) provides health care coverage for the first eight months for certain newly arrived refugees who are not otherwise eligible for MA- Have one of the following immigration statuses: Refugee, Asylee, Cuban and Haitian Entrant, Amerasian Immigrant, Trafficking Victim, Iraqi, and Afghan Special Immigrants - Dependent children of people with any of the above statuses who live in the same household if the only parent or both parents in the household have refugee status- Children with a non-refugee parent in the household are not eligible for RMA- Hennepin County resident

Required documents

Application/registration form birth certificate for families with children photo ID proof of residency (piece of mail, application of new ID, rental lease, bus ticket, etc.) proof of immigrations status (I-94) shelter verification verification of the last 30 days of income and assets including more supporting documents can help process applications quickly
