Description

The Emergency Operations Center (EOC) serves as a centralized location for coordinating disaster response and recovery efforts. The specific functions performed at the EOC will vary depending on the type and scope of the emergency, but generally include the following responsibilities: - Business and Industry Coordination: Coordinates with businesses and industries directly affected by and/or responding to the disaster. - County Government Response: Coordinates the response efforts of Stevens County government agencies. - Local Government Coordination: Coordinates with any local governments affected by and/or responding to the disaster. - Public Information: Generates and disseminates appropriate public information related to the emergency. - State and Federal Agency Coordination: Coordinates with state and federal agencies involved in disaster response. - Volunteer Management: Coordinates, registers, and channels the services of volunteers assisting in the disaster response. Criteria for Activation: The level of activation for the Stevens County EOC is determined by the severity of the emergency. Activation may range from minimal staffing to full-scale operations, depending on the situation.
