The program allows individuals to grow their own food in one of the 13 community gardens across Dakota County. Once an applicant has been approved, individuals will receive a plot, seeds, starter plants, garden tools, compost, and everything else needed to start a garden. Educational classes such as basic gardening, canning, cooking, and more are provided. Gardens are located across Dakota County and can be accessed daily, any time of the day.
