- Collects all real, personal property, mobile home taxes, and special assessments - Maintains the official financial records - Collects special assessments for cities and townships relating to water, sewer, sidewalk, curb, gutter, and ditch repairs - Issues tax certificates under the seal of the office indicating whether taxes are paid or not. - Maintains up-to-date records, transfer cards, tax maps, and certificates of value on each of the approximate 22,000 parcels of land in the County to include description and ownership - Registers voters and chief custodian of official voter registration records - Deputy Registrar of Motor Vehicles by the Commissioner of Public Safety and is responsible for overseeing the license center - Responsible for the approximate sixteen sub agents throughout the county who sell game and fish licenses. - Issuance of liquor, wine, beer, auctioneer, dance, fireworks, peddlers, transient merchants, dangerous dog, and other licenses issued by the county as appropriate
