Interventionists work with students, school and staff in assessing, identifying and treating drug related problems in school Specific goals are: - To increase awareness of and ability to deal with chemical use and related problems- To provide direct service to students experiencing difficulties with chemical use/abuse of parents- To develop a school chemical abuse prevention policy- Provides sexual assault services- Provides child protection services- Provides violence prevention services- Provides youth development services- The interventionists also help students with non-drug related problems- The offer support groups for common teen/family problems- These groups are offered during the school day for ease of access- College and career readiness- Academic counseling
