Auditor and Treasurer Services - Wilkin County Auditor and Treasurer

Auditor services:- Assists with budget and insurance (property, casualty, liability, workers' comp)- Manages delinquent taxes and tax-forfeit lands- Oversees accounting for the county- Prepares and keeps minutes of County Board meetings- Prepares tax rolls and statements- Issues checks for county government- Calculates real and personal property taxes- Distributes taxes collected to proper governmental unitsTreasurer services:- Accepts payments for real estate, personal property, mineral interest, and mobile home taxes- Collects deed and mortgage registration tax- Credits funds to proper accounts- Disburses funds per County Board direction- Handles Minnesota Property Tax Refund forms- Invests excess county funds safely for highest return- Issues birth, death, and marriage certificates/licenses- Offers notary services and filings- Maintains tax records, including payments, ownership changes, and delinquent mobile home taxes- Manages driver license renewals and driving test appointments- Provides property tax information
