Building Department - Oversees building, mechanical, plumbing, excavating-mining permits, applications, and building inspections City Attorney Community Development - Maintains the City's Comprehensive Plan, code enforcement regulations, developing businesses, and the local economy, long-range planning initiatives, planning and land use map, subdivision regulations, and zoning ordinance - Responsible for implementing the City's housing goals, advancing infrastructure projects, protecting environmental quality, and fostering partnerships to improve access to community services Election - Ballot and election information Engineering Department - Hakanson Anderson Inc. - Includes consolation services, land surveying, planning, and supervising buildings of city streets License and Permit - Dog licenses Parks and Recreation Department - Nowthen Memorial Park, Twin Lakes City Park, and walking trails Public Works - Responsible for maintaining and creating city roads; brush and tree cutting; park mowing and maintenance; snow plowing and many other miscellaneous duties. Hours of operation are 7 am - 3 pm Monday - Friday. Recycling Information - Open 11 am -5 pm Tuesday - Friday; 9 am - 12 noon Saturday. Items accepted without charge are cardboard, catalogs, magazines, newspaper, inserts, office paper, paper bags, phone books, school paper, shredded paper (in closed paper bags), glass (brown, clear, and green food containers), metal (aluminum food and pop cans), steel/tin cans, plastic (bottles and containers marked with recycling symbol), and scrap metal. Items accepted with a charge are appliances, TVs, computers, monitors, tires, bulbs, and electronics.
