Description
The food shelf at Winona Volunteer Services is open Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays 10 am to 1 pm, Thursdays 3 pm to 6 pm, and Fridays 2 pm to 5 pm, with the last shopper checked in no later than 15 minutes before closing. Volunteer Services provides food to any individual or family who qualify with income at or below 300% of the federal poverty level. Volunteer Services no longer issues food shelf cards. Shoppers are allowed in one person at a time, with a maximum of six shoppers. Masks are required for those who are not fully vaccinated, and strongly encouraged for all others. Shoppers are encouraged to maintain at least six feet of physical distance from other shoppers and volunteers. Individuals may send someone to shop on their behalf if unable to come to the food shelf. If the individual has no one to shop for them, please refer them to Food Delivery aka Groceries on the Go at Winona Volunteer Services. Winona Volunteer Services offers a very limited supply of emergency food, which will provide enough food until the next available shopping day.
