A four-week parent education program that helps parents:- Build a strong literacy foundation in the home and understand the important role that reading plays in shaping cultural identity, self-efficacy, and confidence about learning- Gain usable information, knowledge, literacy traditions, and skills to encourage reading in the home- Improve reading skills with their children- Strengthen the parent's advocacy skills for partnering with schools and teachers
