Northside Homeless Prevention Program - Link, The

Eligibility

  • Residents of North Minneapolis with an immediate need for rental assistance or utilities who meet the following criteria:- Young adults ages 18-24 or families with youth ages 13-24 who are living full time in the home- Be willing to participate in Prevention Supportive Services for 90 days. Supportive Services include budget planning, individualized support plan, and learning about community resources- Provide verification/documentation of need

  • Documentation/verification of need (Late rent notice/Past due utilities)- Applicants must live in North Minneapolis and be applying with a North Minneapolis address

Provides financial assistance to young adults and families with youth who are in need of past due rent or utility payment assistance to avoid eviction and prevent homelessnessNOTE: Funding available in January each year until it runs out, usually in 1-2 weeks.
